Hearing Loss Before After Photos in Delhi – Dr Purodha Prasad

Earwax buildup can affect both men, women, and even young teens. It can cause blocked ears, muffled hearing, and difficulty in hearing conversations clearly.

Even if earwax is a natural substance, which protects the ear canal, the excessive accumulation needs removal by a qualified medical doctor.

This is a gallery of before and after photographs of ear cleaning procedures done at our ear clinic in South Delhi.

This gallery is published to help patients understand different types of wax that can accumulate inside and how professional removal helps in bringing visibility of ear canal and eardrum.

The procedures are executed by ENT specialist in Delhi, Dr. Purodha Prasad at Specialty Ear Clinic, Vanya Clinic, Aesthetics and ENT located in Green Park, South Delhi.

Different Types of Ear Wax Photos available in Gallery

Earwax can vary considerably from one patient to another. It is important to identify it’s consistency and position so that Ear Specialist doctor can determine the safest and most suitable approach.

In this gallery, we have published photos of various types of Ear wax that we have encountered at our ENT Clinic in South Delhi.

  1. Wet Ear Wax : Wet earwax is generally moist and sticky, with a colour ranging from yellow to brown. When excessive, it can accumulate inside the canal and obstruct examination of the eardrum.
  2. Dry Ear Wax: Dry earwax may appear flaky, crumbly, or powdery. It can collect in the canal or become compacted when pushed deeper by cotton buds.
  3. Hard Ear Wax: Hard wax can become firmly lodged in the ear canal. Depending on its location and consistency, a softening preparation followed by careful removal may be appropriate.
  4. Sticky Ear Wax: Sticky wax tends to adhere to the canal wall and may smear or remain in small patches during removal. Controlled microsuction or fine instruments may be used when clinically indicated.
  5. Impacted Ear Wax: Impacted wax can partially or completely block the ear canal, sometimes causing muffled hearing, fullness, or discomfort. An ENT examination helps determine the appropriate removal technique.
  6. Residual Ear Wax: Small amounts of wax may remain attached to the canal wall after partial removal. These remnants need further treatment only when they cause symptoms or interfere with examination.
